The Dharavi slums face a lot of problems like noise, water and air pollution, it also has no sewage or drainage systems. The largest slum in the world, however, is located in Mexico city with four times more people than Dharavi.

There are two main reasons why Dharavi slum grows. These slums come with many issues for people including the lack of planned access to clean water and sanitation systems, poor health, lack of education, unemployment and the prospect of crime.
